Euromed Forum on the Creative Industries
The Forum was organized in an innovative, creative and highly participatory format using Open Space Technology (OST). OST is a method bringing all stakeholders (formal, non-formal, independent, institutions etc.) together to discuss and to seek a shared solution. In the evening, one-to-one meetings provided an opportunity for participants to meet representatives of EUNIC, the EC, cultural entrepreneurs etc. On the final evening, a Fair was set-up allowing participants to promote their work, present their projects and make new contacts.
Berytech participated in many sessions around various topics such as From Video Games to Social Games, Promotion of Creative Entrepreneurship, Promoting and Monetizing Content Online, Accelerating Growth of Creative Industries…etc Berytech presented Lebanon’s success stories in the creative industries and conveyed the numerous needs and challenges facing the sector.
A sixty page report documenting all the sessions was produced and distributed at the final day of the event and the expectations of Berytech and other participants were recorded in order to conceptualize the structure of the long-term EUNIC MENA Project.
